There are several situations where mild steel surface’s galvanic painting or protection is not at all practical. These are the cases where special oxide film that is created on chromium alloy stainless steel becomes useful. To resist various working condition and corrosive environment, we develop a varied range of stainless steel. With this we also ensure that factories are secure, long lasting structures and hygienic food. The stainless steel is used to clean the exhaust gases from power stations and cars. Steel is a recyclable material so it can be heated and melted down to create a new material.
Stainless steel can be defined as chromium that contains steel alloys. Standardized stainless steel has 10.5 percent chromium content and this helps in corrosion resistance.
Here are some of the major stainless steel varieties:
Austenitic: Most commonly used stainless steel, it contains 7% of nickel content giving it more ductility, non-magnetic properties as well as weldability feature. It is used in includes containers, housewares, architectural facades, industrial vessels and piping, and constructional structures.
Ferritic Stainless Steel: It has properties like mild steel but the only difference is that it has better corrosion resistance feature. These widely find application in boilers, housewares, washing machines, structural application and indoor architecture.
Ferritic-Austenitic (Duplex) Stainless Steel: This type of steel contains austenitic and ferritic lattice structures and so is commonly known as duplex stainless steel. It has both ductility and strength. These steel finds application in paper, petrochemical, shipbuilding and pulp industries.
Martensitic Stainless Steel: It includes around 11 to 13% chromium content and is hard and strong with fair corrosion resistance feature. The steel is commonly used in knives and turbine blades.

Chemical analysis: Chemical composition study is done to get desired chemical standards.
Atmospheric pressure and hydraulic test: These tests are done to experiment pipes individually under certain pressure vale in not less than duration of 5 seconds. 2.45 Mpa and -0.59 Mpa is the usual hydraulic and atmospheric pressure value respectively.
Corrosion test: This test is conducted onto check the corrosion resistance of pipes as per the defined standards.
Technical performances test: The technical test includes tensile, flattening, impact, flaring, hardness, bending, metallographic and nondestructive inspection (X ray, eddy current and ultrasonic tests).
Furthermore, we supply raw materials that are inspected by third party including international agencies such as DNV, SGS, EIL, Lloyds, Bureau Veritas and more. This is one of the reasons why quality plays such an important role in the entire process. |
